Here’s an interesting app: Digit┬áis a new iOS, Android, and desktop web product that automatically takes care of saving for you.

The California-based startup says their app can help you “save money without thinking about it.”

Similar to other apps such as Acorns (which takes your spare change and turns it into investments), Digit connects to your bank account and takes small sums of money to store away.

Once you connect Digit to your checking account, it automatically analyzes your income and spending habits, and finds small amounts of cash it can safely transfer to your savings account. Every two or three days, Digit then automatically moves a small sum of cash (Typically between $5 & $50) from your checking account to your savings account.

Boom. Instant savings.

It’s an interesting app for anyone looking to save more money or who (hey, that’s us!) sometimes forgets to save money until it’s too late. Digit also has a no-overdraft guarantee that will cover the cost of overdrafts for customers in the rare case that they happen.
