TaskRabbit, the popular marketplace for chores and services, is expanding to five new cities. Starting in May 2017, users can now hire help in Baltimore, Ann Arbor/Detroit, Nashville, Raleigh & Sacramento.

This is good news for anyone looking to hiring house cleaners or quick chore help through an app, or anyone looking to make some extra cash.

The service allows users to post chores such as assembling furniture, cleaning, deliveries, or organizing files. Users then find workers who signed up with the office and can stop by their home or office to do the work.

If you want to make extra money through TaskRabbit in Baltimore, Detroit, Nashville, Raleigh, Sacramento, or any of the other cities TaskRabbit works in, you can sign up to work for TaskRabbit through their website.

Once TaskRabbit approves your application, you’re notified of potential nearby jobs. You then select jobs you’re interested in completing, confirm details with your client, and submit an invoice once work is done.

TaskRabbit’s designed to connect users with assistants who can help with cleaning, furniture assembly, and other household chores.

You sign up for a TaskRabbit account, and then choose a task you need done and when you need it done. You then choose from a list of workers who post their rates up-front, or have TaskRabbit automatically assign you a worker for a preset price.

The worker then comes to your house, you pay them and tip them through your app, and the process is automatic.

According to TaskRabbit, approximately 60,000 workers use the platform. Workers, TaskRabbit says, typically earn $35 an hour.

TaskRabbit offers insurance for workers, and requires a background check for all workers. You sign up through TaskRabbit’s website, wait for approval, and complete an onboarding process.

Once you’re approved through TaskRabbit, and do work, payout takes place immediately following completion.
